TradeMark Celebrates Its Showroom Reopening After £250,000 Transformation

The business, founded 33 years ago by local entrepreneur and Wokingham Football Club President Mark Ashwell, unveiled the new-look space with a party that attracted more than 100 people.

Visitors explored the 2,500 ft2 building at Headley Park 10, talking to its home improvement experts and checking out its exclusive collection of windows and doors.

Backed by its involvement in the  CO Retail Network, the company has reportedly achieved three record months on its way to £4m in  sales this year. It is about to create up to eight new retail, surveying and installation jobs in the process.

Mark Ashwell, managing director, commented: “TradeMark has been a household name in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey for more than three decades, delivering exceptional customer service and the widest selection of windows, doors and living spaces.

“We wanted to reinforce our commitment to our local customer base by investing in the next 33 years, transforming our showroom into a state-of-the-art space where people can visit and bring their aspirations into reality.

“Everything has been updated, including new design technology to help customers visualise what our products may look like in their actual homes. They tested this out by bringing in their photos at the weekend, and we showed them there and then.”

He continued: “We’ve also extended our ranges with 16 Forté composite doors now on display in different colours and different glass combinations.

“Our open day was a big thank you to everyone who has supported us and continues to choose local. Since we started, we’ve completed over 20,000 installation!”

TradeMark has praised its involvement in the CO Retail Network as a key driver in helping it successfully ride the retail rollercoaster.

The company joined 13 years ago and is part of a 30-strong group of home improvement specialists, who share best practice and gain access to sales and marketing support.

It also gives them exclusive rights to sell the Forté, Extreme, and Envisage ranges across the Thames Valley.

Greg Kane, CEO of CO Manufacturing, went on to add:

“TradeMark is widely respected for its level of service and its installation expertise, two qualities we value highly within our Retail Network.

“Together, we have worked to help Mark and the team grow sales, enhance their product collections, and raise their profile in their key catchment areas. It’s a winning formula that we believe will only get stronger with the refurbishment of the new showroom in Woodley.”

Mark, who once appeared on BBC’s Rogue Traders to fight for the rights of homeowners, concluded: “It can be a lonely experience running a retail business, so to be able to call on external advice and support from up to 30 companies is invaluable.

“It has definitely played a role in our growth in recent months and has helped establish us as one of Berkshire’s leading home improvement specialists.”

In addition to supplying and installing new windows, doors and conservatories, TradeMark also offers ‘Window Doctors’, a dedicated service for repairing existing products across the Thames Valley.
